Monday, March 28th

Climate and Art Exhibition

The Climate and Art event will showcase a gallery of climate-related photos while Guests can enjoy a talk about the role of art in expression and social justice. Cheeses and drinks will be available as visitors walk around the gallery, with the opportunity of creating climate art of their own to take with them

The showcased photographs will consist of photos taken at the Climate Talks in Paris from our “Humans of COP” series, around the city of Paris, and of photos submitted by Emory Students.

The exhibition will be held from 6 to 9pm in the Brooks Commons.

Earth Festival, Presented by the Office of Sustainability Initiatives

Wednesday, March 30th

Change the System, Not the Climate; an Environmental Justice Panel

Calling all social justice and environmental activists! Come learn about the connections of racial, class-based, gender, and environmental inequality. Part 1 will host student panelists from Spelman College, Agnes Scott College, and Emory University to talk about their activism, research, and experience.

Part 2 will feature group workshops on specific issues and intersections between them.

The panel will take place from 7 to 8:30pm in Atwood 260.

 

 

Thursday, March 31st

Years of Living Dangerously Movie Screening with George Luber

Join ECO, the CDC, and Emory Professor George Luber in a discussion on climate change and global health.

The movie and subsequent discussion will take place from 6 to 8 pm in Harland Cinema.

 

 

 

 

Friday, April 1st

Climate SALON with TEDxEmory

ATO and TEDxEmory host SALON, a night of student speakers at the ATO house focused on our changing climate and its effects on our lives.

Climate SALON will be held from 8pm to 12am in the Alpha Epsilon Pi house — 17 Eagle Row.
